You'll seldom fine a winemaker who will tell you the previous vintage or version of a wine was better than the current, and you'll find no exception here! Each vintage of our Rosé we are adjusting our approach, aiming at a particular style, while trying to still let the vineyard shine through. We can confidently say that with the 2020 Rosé, we hit the bullseye. The 2020 Rose is a blend of 97% Grenache from the Swayze Vineyard in Antelope Valley, and 3% Syrah from our Lobo Canyon Vineyard in the Malibu Coast.
Intense aromas of crisp quince and lychee dominate the perfumed nose, with peach, white flowers, hints of powdered sugar, cotton candy and melon balls. Crisp, focused stone fruit takes center stage on the palate, as perfectly balanced acidity guides it through the mouth watering finish.
This wine recently scored 92 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine, making it the highest scoring Rosé to ever come from Los Angeles County.
