2021 Rosé
Grenache / Sangiovese
Los Angeles County
Description
The 2021 Rosé is a Provencal style blend of 97% Grenache, and 3% Sangiovese that is pure summertime in a bottle. Enjoy this crisp and refreshing wine on a hot sunny day by the pool, at the beach, when dining al fresco, or wherever your warm weather adventures take you.
Tasting Notes
Canned peaches, fresh cut strawberries and a hint of cantaloupe pop on the complex nose, with flashes of quince, white flowers, apricot, and wet stones. A blast of citrus, stone fruit, and brilliant acidity greet the palate, culminating in a mouthwatering finish laced with pink grapefruit skin, lychee, and a touch of minerality.
Vineyard Notes
The latest version of our Rosé is 97% Grenache from the Swayze Vineyard in the northeast corner of the Antelope Valley, near the base of the Tejon Pass, while the balance of the blend is rounded out with 3% Sangiovese from Bel Air’s Villa Cresta Vineyard.
Production Notes
The grapes were picked by hand, with dry ice layered into the bins to preserve the wine’s natural freshness, before they were whole cluster pressed and settled into a temperature controlled steel tank. A cool and slow fermentation was followed by 6 months of aging, also in steel. 70 cases produced.
